Reeshi Ram Ghimire is an Advocate licensed by the Bar Council of Nepal. He represents clients in criminal, constitutional, civil, and media-related cases across Nepal since 2002. Besides litigation and case representation, he is also a certified mediator on civil cases since 2010. Reeshi is actively involved in the protection of the interests and professionalism of lawyers in various positions and capacities of different Bar Associations of Nepal.

Currently, Reeshi is serving as the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association. He has published numerous researched-based articles on different law and media-related matters in national dailies, journals, and reports. He has co-authored books and worked as an editor of various books. Reeshi has been engaged in several report-writing activities on various media issues and cases.

Reeshi earned a Master of Laws (LLM) in Constitutional Law and Criminal Law, a Master of Arts (MA) in Sociology, a Bachelor of Law (BL), an Intermediate in Law (IL), and a School Leaving Certificate (SLC). He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association since 2012.

In addition, Reeshi serves as an advocate/associate at the Alliance Law Firm since 1999. He is also the Legal Adviser of Bilandu Bikash Sewa Samaj and Freedom Forum, Kathmandu. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Rule of Law Foundation, and Secretary of Nepal Justice and Helping Society.

Reeshi has vast experience in the legal profession, having worked as an associate lawyer and Human Rights Officer at the Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Studies (CEHURDES), Legal Officer at the Nepal Environmental Lawyers’ Association (NELA), and as a Legal Officer at Legal Desk of Freedom Forum, among other roles. Reeshi has also been a member of various committees and associations, such as the Kathmandu District Court Bar Association, Central Council of Nepal Bar Association, Publication Committee of Nepal Bar Association, and Study of Decision and Recommendation Committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association, among others.
